World Rockabilly Coalition rocks on...
Celebrating the first 70 years of rockabilly music
(SPECIAL): The World Rockabilly Coalition (WRC) is celebrating the first 70 years of rockabilly. Membership is open until further notice for everyone involved (including fans) in rockabilly to join WRC to promote rockabilly and related music. The more members we have, the more "promo power" we have.
WRC is an international alliance of the people that create and perpetuate rockabilly music. Our vision, mission, and objective are to preserve the past, promote the present, and insure the future of the music. Membership is open to performers, musicians, songwriters, production, promotion, media personnel… and fans of rockabilly music. Our Pioneer members included startups, rising stars and legendary performers. Some have been inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame. Others are radio and television on-air personalities. They joined from around the world.
The entertainment business has many stories of success after repeated failure, and WRC will become more proficient and effective as time rocks on. WRC members represent the music worldwide. We welcome membership from the fans... because without fans, there would be no stars.
More than two decades ago when the entertainment world was preparing to celebrate the first 50 years of rockabilly music, Kicking Eagle Entertainment established WRC because we felt that a world alliance connecting the artists, the music, and the media was long past due. We predicted then that rockabilly and related music including rock n’ roll, doo-wop, and traditional country music would soon be heard in the malls, the stores, the restaurants, and on the radio. It would be performed at new venues and included in television commercials. New record players and vinyl records would be available again in America. What we said would happen… happened. We believe that the best is yet to come. We are celebrating the first 70 years of rockabilly. You can send suggestions or other positive input by email to Cindy@kickingagleusa.com. We'll get back to you as soon as possible. ROCK ON!
